Primer your way to a Studio finish look

Primers… What are they? Are they necessary? Or is this another thing that I really need to be using?

These are just some of the questions that I regularly ask myself. There is not one week that goes by without another ‘must have’ miracle beauty product being released.  I don’t know about you, but I do feel the pressure of having to know about the latest beauty products, and that’s all without even getting to the stage of knowing what to do with the damn things.

So in answer to my questions above…

What is a Primer?

A primer is a type of Serum/Gel, that is meant to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores.  It can be used alone or before the application of foundation.

Are they necessary?

Truthfully no, however it is always good to have one that you like and agrees with your skin type even if it’s used just for those special occasions.  Unlike me who has become quite addicted to a good primer.  I’m not sure where the primer stands in terms of use with a moisturiser, but I tend to use my moisturiser and then add a little bit of primer before I begin applying any makeup.

Is this another thing that I need to be using?

Yes, even if it is just for those nights out. You really will notice the difference, especially if you haven’t got perfect skin (lets face it who has right).
