Nudestix when did makeup application become this easy?
One of the biggest woes of a woman is trying to downsize that makeup bag. Yes, during the daytime while you’re sitting at your desk, it may only require as little effort as just some lip balm. But what happens when you need to take your face from the desk to a night out on the town? Even with just adding a bit of eyeshadow or blush requires extra tools such as brushes and compacts to be carried around – tools that can make the bag go bulky! This is why I love Nudestix precisely as it is in a stick format and perfectly sized to fit into your smallish makeup bag. But that’s not all! Created to perform that no makeup look, Nudestix is like adult colouring crayons that cover all bases and not just the eyes! With a formula that is enriched with vitamins, antioxidants and moisturisers plus it’s paraben-free, you’re really going to enjoy colouring in that face! Here’s my current top three Nudestix hero products set to aid your Summer to Autumn transition makeup look.
Blur pencil £24 – Starting to worry about fine lines and creases? Well I know I am! This genius blur pencil is infused with vitamin C/E and hyaluronic acid which together, easily blends onto the face to give you long lasting hydration and a more plumped-up appearance. Perfect for around the mouth, nose area or the forehead if you have visible frown lines. It can be worn alone but works really well as a base-like a primer. I wouldn’t suggest colouring in your whole face, just the areas that require particular TLC.
Matte lip and cheek pencil in Raven £24 – Don’t we just love a multipurpose product? This creamy lip pencil/lipstick/cheek tint is your handbag hero. If you carry nothing else then carry one of these. With Matt lip shades having their full on heyday, raven is a welcome change from your average nude. It shows that darker shades can work well in a matte format and still hydrate the lips. Having worn this already for a few days, it proved to really have staying power although if you are prone to dry lips, I would recommend using a good lip scrub before application.
Magnetic eye colour pencil in Immortal £24 – I used to be always put off by any form of creamy eye shadow (living in fear of the eye crease). However, formulas have massively improved and we have the greatest invention of all time – the eye primer! This magnetic colour in particular is super pigmented and from the image below, hopefully you will agree that it’s really a complementary shade for all skin tones. One I wouldn’t wear during the day, but it’s great to use for a striking evening shadow or eye liner look.
Mrs J’s verdict – Nudestix is the perfect product not only for those of you who care about what their beauty products are made for but for the sheer convenience of packaging and application. Each of the above Nudestix products come packaged in a hard case, lightweight tin that hosts a good mirror in the lid. The tin also provides you with the correct sharpener, free of charge (which a lot of brands make you buy separately). So if you are clever, you will sharpen up those crayons and fit in as many as you can into one tin! My favourite is the Nudestix Magnetic Colour pencil. Its creamy formula means that it is easy to apply and easy to blend, be it with an eyeshadow brush or your fingers if you are in a rush!
