My Top Five Current Summer Scents

Fragrances or scents, for me, are paired with memories – some happy, some sad. But mostly, they mark significant milestones in my life.  Which is why if you asked me to pick my all time favourite scent, I simply wouldn’t be able to. Not because I don’t want to relive those memories, more so that my preferences or tastes have changed. What would have been my favourite scent as a teenager is highly likely to make me want to throw up if I smelt it on myself now and this is all down to our body’s chemistry! In just the same way that you can smell a fragrance on someone else and love it and test it out on yourself and totally hate it.  So whilst my favourite summer scents will continue to evolve, here are my top five current scents that I will be making memories with this summer!

SJP NYC* – This new Sarah Jessica Parker scent encompasses everything that is summer with a fruity floral aroma and a sensual undertone with base notes of Sandlewood, Vanilla, Rum and Creamy Musks.  The perfect scent to see you all through the day to the evening.

Replica – Promenade in the Garden* – Another all day to night fragrance.  This floral scent transports you to the heart of the English countryside, with combined notes of Turkish Rose, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Vetiver.

Jo Malone – English Pear and Freesia. This iconic fragrance evokes just what the title says: just-ripe pears, white freesias, and notes of amber, patchouli and woods. Referred to as more of an Autumnal scent, this scent is still ideal to wear all year around or pair up with another Jo Malone fragrance to create your own signature scent.

Replica – Lazy Sunday Morning* – If you love the smell of fresh linen, or that feeling and scent of fresh clean bed sheets then this is your perfect fragrance.  Perfect for those casual dress down days, or when you need to relax. This fresh scent contains notes of Lily of the Valley and Patchouli.

Caudalie – Parfum Divin – If you have tried or are already a fan of the Caudalie Divine Oil then this perfume needs no introduction! Capturing the scent of the dry oil in a bottle is simply divine! For me this scent invokes memories of romantic beach sunsets and the smell of the sea. Notes: Bulgarian rose absolute, Moroccan rose essence, Virginia cedar, vanilla, and spicy pink pepper.
