My Little Fashion Box
As London Fashion week is in full swing, I felt it was only fair that I fully encompassed myself in it in my own Mrs J way, with of course some highly relevant beauty content. This month, I take you back to my favourite subscription box company, My Little Box. Not having paid any attention to any spoilers from the My Little Beauty Team, I was actually pleasantly surprised to receive my Little Box slightly earlier than normal and just before the start of London Fashion Week. If you haven’t guessed already, this month’s My Little Box is ‘My Little Fashion Box’
If you’re not familiar with the format of this monthly subscription box then in a quick summary, here’s how it goes. Each month, a subscriber receives a themed box containing My Little World Magazine, a cute little note card, 3 beauty items (one being from the My Little Beauty range) and 1 or two lifestyle pieces. Last month, I wasn’t overly impressed with the lifestyle bag that we received in the My Little Gypsy Box. It was quite small for a girl who loves carrying a big bag and being prepared for any occasion. So whilst this month was themed around fashion, I wasn’t expecting a Chloe bag (but here is wishing right!) but I was hoping for an item that wasn’t going to end up being given away or make me re-think my subscription. Here’s what’s inside My Little Fashion Box.
My Little Fashion Box Contents:
Lifestyle: Note Card, My Little World Magazine, My Little Scarf by American Vintage, Neo-nail art, plus a surprise small bottle of Cointreau and a booklet with Cointreau Fizz Recipes.
Beauty: My Little Beauty’s latest Lip Colour called Red Dingue, Kerastase Couture Styling Spray and La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream.
Mrs J’s Verdict?
This month’s box really didn’t float my boat. Whilst this beauty box subscription still remains to be my favourite, I feel that this month was the only month that I wasn’t shouting out about. In all fairness, there always has to be a blip month and maybe this was mine. However, for someone else, this could be their perfect box. I was happy to see a useful lifestyle item in the form of a scarf. This is an item I will definitely be wearing and the classic black and white print is one that can easily be accessorised with many outfits. The little bottle of Cointreau and recipe suggestions was a very nice touch. Being more of a red wine/ vodka girl, opting for Cointreau based drink is not something that I would immediately go for. However, I do have my eyes firmly focused on the Cumcumber basil Cointreau fizz recipe (is it Friday yet?). Finally, onto the beauty items where the one item I was very excited to see was the La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream. I have heard and read so many reviews on this brand and have had yet to actually sample it for myself. It, however, is not meant to be on this occasion as it appears that the shade I received was one of something a lot paler than me. So if you’re reading this and are in the market for a new BB cream then feel free to contact me.
My Little box can be purchased from as little as £11 per month plus P&P – here
