Mrs J’s Poolside beauty essentials

Hola from sunny Spain.  For those of you readers that follow me on Instagram: @MrsJonasRecommends and Twitter: @MrsJRecommends you will know that I am currently on holiday in Catalonia, Northern Spain.  Whilst I am taking some time out from work and Blogging for a week, I just wanted to share my current Poolside beauty essentials with you all.

Matt Nail Varnish from £3.99

Bright White Nails and Matt Nail Varnish have been the latest trend through Spring Summer.  Whilst I was a bit wary of White nail varnish against my dark skin, taking the plunge at the Warehouse #talesofthecity event I fell in love with all things white.  To read the Warehouse post click here. So to show off my tan at the end of the week I decided to purchase some bright and daring colours –  Barry M Matte White and  Waikiki Green.  Click here to buy online at Boots (currently there is a 3 for 2 promotion on Barry M products at Boots).

La Roche -Posay Thermal Spring Water £4

A slight extravagance some would say but on a really hot day, on the underground in London, or in the office.  A quick spray of this non offensive, not fragrant water will instantly get  you cooled down and feeling refreshed.

Hawaiian Tropic sun lotion £12.60

This light weigh high protection cream leaves you smelling amazing without that sticky, or ‘purple’ look that some sun creams tend to leave on darker skin tones.  A 5/5 from Mrs J.

            Bourjois 1 second mascara £9.99

Waterproof mascara – for the clump panda free look.

Bourjois Paris BB Bronzing Cream 8 in 1 £9.99

Last but not least the latest BB cream on the market. Whether I sit and tan in the sun or not I am one of those lucky people that tend to go a few shades darker instantly.  This is great when sporting the ‘I’ve just been on holiday’ look but no so great when all your makeup is totally the wrong shade!  Not wanting to spend a ridiculous amount of money in Mac in duty free trying to guess what shade I was going to end up, I figured that Bourjois new 8 in 1 BB bream would be the best option when trying to colour match my tan.  The light weight easy applicable formula events skin tone, and provides a sheer tint, and has lots of SPF15 in it to continue to protect your skin from the suns rays.  Oh and I nearly forgot to mention it smells good enough to eat!  So with this light weight formula, a bit of bronzer and eye makeup, i’m ready for the night ahead.
