Lookfantastic March Beauty Box Review

You would assume the beauty box arena has become pretty saturated as there are just SO many now.  So when a well know beauty site decides to launch it’s own beauty box you do question how this box will differentiate its self from the market.  This is exactly what I thought when I purchased my first Lookfantastic box in January, you can read my post here.  However Lookfantastic have firmly placed themselves as a key player in the box market. At £15 the price is affordable and mid tier in the box arena, with an impressive full product size offering.  With no long term tie in or subscription hassle, you can simply buy each box as you go along, with the option to bulk purchase for three, six, or twelve months should you wish too (to save some money).

Each box comes perfectly packaged and wrapped up. So perfect that it’s almost so  temping to wrap everything back up and open it again and again. It’s also the perfect gift to give to family and friends.

So what’s in the Lookfantastic March box?

Lord and Berry liner  (travel size) – I seem to have been accumulating eye liners over the past few months -they all sit in a clear jar on me dresser.  Having a feeling of de ja vu I was sure that I had seen a Lord and Berry liner before, and yes just as I’d guessed there it was sitting amongst all my other liners unused!  So I cant really give a fully used review on this liner, however from my few applications and swatches on my hand the liner was soft (not in the crumbly way) and easy to use.  It gave great striking definition and best of all being travel sized meant that it was small enough to fit in my makeup or clutch bag for those small bag nights out. Full size Lord and Berry Kajal Liner £10 click here.

Nudestick eye pencil (shade Gilt) £24 – This is the first time I have heard of the brand called Nudestick and was impressed to receive a full sized product worth £24.  With eye pencils taking the eyeshadow market by a storm it’s hard to know which one to go for, so I was happy for the decision to be made for me by Lookfantastic!  An Eye stick/ shadow that can be used all over the eye lid as an eyeshadow, or simply as a eyeliner.  Best of all the Nudestick saves some space in your makeup bag, no more carrying around a massive eyeshadow pallet for me. Cowshed lippy Cow £.5.00 – I was so excited to see a product from cowshed, as I simply love all their stuff and keep on saying to myself that i’m going to book myself into their spa, however that day is still to come.  Along with eyeliners I seem to have collated quite a few lip balms over the winter period, they are on my desk, in my handbags and in any pocket I am wearing. So adding the Cowshed brand was not going to be a problem. Lippy Cow (love the name) is made from Linden Blossom essential oils, Ylang Ylang and Rose Geranium, leaving your lips soft and moisturised. Caudalie Serum (10 ml sample) Full size 30ml £35 – I’ve been using a few Caudalie products since November last year, and hadn’t had the chance to dabble into the serum area as yet. Just last week me and my best friend were discussing the changes that we had noticed in our skin and how it was about time that we invested in some anti wrinkle or anti aging products.  The Caudalie serum has been created to protect our skin against the daily environmental damages therefore protecting the skin and preventing wrinkles.  I feel the serum deserves a full trial, test and review – coming soon! Bliss Fat girl slim (60ml) Full size 170.5g, £29.50 – This is my first encounter with the Bliss Fat girl slim brand, not being a fan of the name I wasn’t sure if I was actually going to use this product.  Not wanting to sound totally cliche, size does not determine beauty.  However putting the name aside this product is a firming cream that is meant to reduce dimples, cellulite and tone the skin.  The cream itself is easy to use and just needs to be massaged into the skin for up to 30 seconds. I’m not convinced that miracles are going to happen overnight by juts rubbing some cream into the skin, but with combined regular excercise i’m sure that this product will be effective.  I might just save this pot until the weather improves and the legs have to be out on show.

Lil’ Wet Brush (minature) £7.99 – now i’m no expert on hairbrushes and not very good at using them.  Well only when my hair is straight, as trying to brush my hair when it is curly is a total disaster.  The brush claims to be a master detangler,  Perfect for using in the shower when washing my curly nest.  Although as Mr J is always stealing my hairbrush so I may just have to gift this to him.
