The March LFEXPLORER Beauty Box By LookFantastic
If you follow or read my blog on a regular basis you will know that I’m an avid reviewer and buyer of beauty boxes. Over the last two years from when I really started fuelling my beauty obsession, this space has grown. Along with it came more subscriptions and curated beauty box companies that have emerged. As a result, there tends to pose the question, “Which one should I be buying?” Now having more than one favourite, I can’t pick a sole one but as the beauty box wars continue, readers naturally want more value for money and great products. With that I’m talking about new discoveries and introductions to what only those in the A-list seem to be able to get their hands on. And so I formally open this post to the March Look Fantastic Box themed Destination Beauty #LFEXPLORER, beauty and skincare items from all around the world aimed to help you discover something new! It’s certainly got me thinking about my next sunny break.
So What’s in the Box?
Codage Masque Hydrant Moisturising Mask – French pharmacies are a force of their own. This back-to-basics brand focuses on feeding the skin with goodness. The rich mask combats dryness (great for winter suffering skin) to leave it bright and glowing.
Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Mask – Caudalie is an all time favourite of mine. This micellar water is perfect for a double cleanse or for light makeup wearers.
Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Cream – Not sure about the Anti Fatigue part but this is lovely wearable cream.
First Aid Beauty Intense Hydration Cream – I love the name and the packaging of this brand. It’s not trying to be fancy in any way and the whole First Aid name gives it more of that trustworthy vibe. And this cream, well, is thick yet light, super absorbent and great for dry patches – the wonders of a multipurpose cream that serves like a balm but without the balm bit.
Revlon Colour Burst Lip balm – I love a good lip balm! It is why I usually have a different one but regularly use in each coat and in each bag. Revlon, I feel, is a brand that gets totally forgotten about for their products. I personally love their nail polishes (but again they don’t get mentioned much these days even if they are hard wearing and long lasting). Back to this lip balm. I wanted to love it as I thought it was going to come out more like a lipstick shade, but it appeared as a glittery tint. It seems not quite age-appropriate to me. Nevertheless, mixed-in with a lipstick, it might be okay.
Lottie London Shade and Shadow Brush – I’ve actually never owned an angled shadow brush as I’m more into using three brushes to create one eye look with. But now that I have one I will definitely be working on the creased shadow look!
Emergen-C Energy & Immunity Drink – For a little pick me up…. well dry January is over …
Elle – March 2016 Handbag-sized Edition – This for me is the added bonus! With the magazine costing £4.10 on its own, receiving it as part of a monthly subscription is a total win!
Mrs J’s Verdict
I am loving this month’s box design alone! Well, yes, okay…the products play a big part too! It was nice to have two makeup items in the box this month to balance out the skincare (and no hair care – yay!) and a copy of Elle Magazine. For £15 per month, this is great way to sample and try new beauty products that are not the useless sample-size sachets. The contents are enough to help you decide if you really like them or not to go on and purchase a full size. This is the beauty of the subscription box service: if you don’t like the items this month then there is always next month!
The LookFantastic Beauty Box can be bought from £11.25 per month here.
