Let your Glo & Ray do the talking this Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day is all about the colour red and maybe a classic smokey eye. Now what happens if you’re not that confident in wearing a bright red lipstick and feel more comfortable with a nude lip? What happens when no matter how many YouTube videos you’ve watched, you just can’t master that simple smokey eye look without looking like you’ve had a few rounds in the boxing ring? Well then just call me cupid! Yes, here I am floating all over the world wide web promoting the easiest, subtlest and all-round perfect shade that suits most skin tones that is GOLD! Or the bronzed quad that is perfect for all occasions and not just for Valentine’s Day. It’s time to let your eyes do the talking with Glo & Ray’s Mariposa Quartet eyeshadow.
Who’s Glo & Ray?
Glo & Ray is a British based company that designs and develops all of its products in the UK. Taking inspiration from the natural wonder of light, each colour pigmentation is developed to compliment your natural colouring and deliver natural radiance. The eyeshadow quartet is colour combined to work alone or to mix and match with each other. Each shade has natural mineral particles that create a silky texture that glides onto the eyes, is long lasting and smudge proof. It’s just the perfect little compact to carry around all day or to take on a weekend away.
Mrs J’s Verdict
I love a good combination eyeshadow palette. If I had the chance to design one, it would probably be a bronze, brown golden type palette as they are the easiest, blendable shades around. Also, typically, every time I discover a new brand or am browsing amongst the eyeshadow isles, I find myself being drawn towards the golden brown tones. Now I wear makeup everyday so I know that natural brown/golden colour is great for wearing all over the lid during the day; the warmer tone or maybe even the greyer shade is perfect for smoking into the eye crease and outlining with a neutral eye pencil. I’m currently loving the Glo & Ray Sky Breaker Lasting Silky Eyeliner. Not as striking as a black eyeliner, but teamed with a red lip and some strong brows can hold its own court and bring a little twist and sparkle to a glowing bronzed night time look.
The Glo & Ray Mariposa Quartet Eyeshadow in 04 Golden Dunes is £12.50 and can be bought here.
