Great British Summer has arrived!
Now some of you may be starting the day slightly confused as your mobile phone says one time while the microwave states another. No you are not still hungover from last night, Mrs J can confirm that you have just traded in one hour of your precious weekend for an extra hour of daylight! What better way to take advantage of the daylight than going on a long country walk that ends in a Pub! Me and Mr J decided to do just that leaving the concrete jungle that is London for the clean fresh air of the Wiltshire countryside. Here’s a few pictures and friends I found on the way!
Our two hour walk took us around the Fonthill estate ending in the well known and one of Englands best pubs The Beckford Arms. If your like me and love the countryside but are not a biggest fan of a sleeping in a tent then here’s a perfect alternative. Mrs Jonas Recommends The Beckford Arms.
The Beckford Arms is a traditional Country pub on the border of Wiltshire and Dorset, offering great tasty food of a high quality restaurant at a pub price.
Conveniently located just of the A303, and under two hours from London by car or train, it is the perfect weekend getaway. You wont be short of things to do either with Stonehenge 20 minutes away, the Beckford Arms Pub walk, Spa treatments, shooting and fly fishing! The Beckford Arms has 8 bedrooms and two lodges, all ensuite and stocked with their own range of Bramley handmade nautral Bath and Body products. All room bookings include breakfast. So dust your Wellington’s just like I have and head down to the countryside for that perfect romantic getaway! If you happen to stay at The Beckford Arms let me know what you think 😉
