Interior Design Project Jonas HQ
I’ve been wanting to do a home/ interior post for a while now, and with taking a week off to focus on Project Jonas HQ this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so.
So what is Project Jonas HQ?
Well Project Jonas Hq has become what is the never ending list for home improvement. Having moved into our new home 18 months ago, we were quite blind as to how much work the flat really needed. Focusing on our wedding plans the terracotta carpets and terracotta hallway was blissfully ignored. It was only at the beginning of the year when the spare room was full to the brim with wedding kitchen gifts with no home that we realised that it was time to sort the area know as the ‘kitchen’. For those of you that have started on the ‘one room project’ like us can probably relate to ‘all the rooms project’. As soon as you make one room look great, the contrasting effect on the other rooms (which you previously thought looked fine) is a NIGHTMARE
Now this may seem like I’m rambling here but with no real home improvement experience apart from buying the odd cushion or ornament. Decisions on tiles, kitchen worktops and units was going to be quite the challenge.
So with the internet literally at my fingertips here are some of the sites i use for inspiration:
Pinterest – A great online moodboard! I set my own ‘ Dream Kitchen‘ and ‘Cosy Living‘ Boards. Pinterest is perfect when searching for inspiration, simply type in what you are looking for whether it be ‘nail art’ or ‘bathrooms’ and a list of images and links to websites will appear for you to look at and pin to your own board. You can also take images on your phone/ use images that you already have and add them to your own boards. To follow/ view my boards click here.
Little Miss Holmes – One of my all time favourite style/ Lifestyle blogs written by Laura a property developer and Interier designer. I have followed her for over two years now and am always intrigued to see what she will post next.
Emma’s Design Blog – A design and style blog from a Scandinavian perspective.
House to Home – A site created by the publishers of Beautiful Kitchens, Ideal Home, Living etc, Style at Home etc. Full of ideas and images for all the home.
So before I sign off here are a few images of Project Jonas HQ!
Handmade Wooden Kitchen – Paint – House white (but looks more cream on wood) from Farrow and Ball.
Tea/ Coffee/ Sugar Jars from Homesense.
