Four eyeshadow pots by Ciaté that have made me put that eyeshadow palette away!

It’s quite rare these days that I step away from an eyeshadow palette. It’s not the colour or the pigment that wins me over but the pure convenience of having a selection of colours at your fingertips that you can mix and experiment with. However, when I look at a palette, it is only two or three colours that hit the pan and more than often, the majority of the palette is left untouched. So that got me thinking… it’s time to rekindle the love for the single eyeshadow pot. With so much choice out there, it was hard to know where to even start on the one pot journey. Except that the Precious Metal Eyeshadows by Ciaté landed on my desk with their golden colour range (perfect for my skin tone) and I knew that it was time to get testing.

Shades: Ocean Drive, Washington, Lincoln Road, and Collins Ave (Left and Right) are £18 each from Ciatelondon.com.

These four long-wearing, metal finish loose pigment eyeshadow pots come with a point of difference: the high performance primer built into the lid made to create longer-wearing metallic eyelid. With most loose powder formats opting to be quite messy, the pots have a built in filter to decant just the right amount of product. The colours are totally buildable and a small amount of product can create quite a dramatic look. Don’t be fooled by the metal name in the description; this is not fancy dress makeup. With each metallic shade having a bronze goddess look and feel to it, these are shades that you can wear all day and all year around and are perfect as one block colour to wear all over the lid. The primer in the lid is a nice touch albeit it’s something that I often forget to wear only realising later that I have missed a crucial step in my routine when the eyelid crease appears. I’ve already got my favourite shade that I know I’ll be wearing this spring summer. Question is, have you found yours?
