Festival Collection by Topshop Beauty

If you have been following me on Instagram and Twitter you would have seen that last Sunday I was lucky enough to get an invite to the Topshop Beauty breakfast meet up. Hosted by Fleur De Force and Topshop Beauty, the event is to promote their Festival Collection. Oh, and what an experience that was! Not in the weird fan kind of way, more of a ‘this is a bit creepy I have never seen Topshop with NO people in it’! Yes you heard right as I was there so early the store still had another 2 hours to go before official opening time.

So what did this morning event consist of? Well we had a lovely breakfast laid out for us to enjoy and we were free to roam around and investigate the floor along with the Topshop beauty area! Topshop had kindly brought their own makeup artist in to talk us through the range and give us all little mini makeovers. So whilst I was happy to be made over, I was clear to ask my lady to go easy on the glitter! It was Sunday after all and I was meeting my lovely friend, Vicky, for a catch up in the pub not in a field with wellies! As the meet up was co hosted by Fleur, I got the chance and wasn’t rushed by anyone to have a general chit chat with her about blogging, vlogging and the collection.

I think when people imagine festival makeup, they instantly picture massive lashes, lots of colour, feathers and glitter everywhere. No! Well it can be if you want it to be. But if that’s not what you are comfortable with or you want to go for the more subtle approach with makeup that you can still wear/ use everyday, then that is just what the Topshop Festival Collection has to offer. Not to mention that it’s pretty reasonable, and for something that you may only use once that year, it’s worth the investment.

The Festival Collection consists of:

Glitter Pots (5 different shades: Vision, Perfect Stranger, Flash, Candy Rain and Periwinkle) £5 each.

Glow Domes (2 different shades: Zephyr and Galactic) £9 each

Lip and Cheek Smudge Pen £8.50 (4 different shades: Sonic, Always on Time, Red Shoes, and Wilderness) £8.50 each. The Lip and Cheek Smudge pen is the perfect 2-in-1 beauty product offering you a bright lip pencil option and with the use of the brush, a soft blush to apply to the cheeks.

Topshop kindly gave all the attendees a little parting gift as appreciation for our presence. Lucky for me, it was just what I wanted from the collection! The picture above consists of Glitter Pot in Periwinkle, Glow Dome in Zephyr, and the Lip and Cheek Smudge in Wilderness. Whilst I will probably be using the Glitter on special occasions, wearing it to work would be just a bit odd. Nonetheless, Lip and Cheek Smudge has already claimed its spot in my day makeup bag.
