Being a blogger I often read a lot of other blogs across a variety of categories, some I’m totally addicted too and others I find comfort in as they understand the time, effort, joy and stress that comes with blogging. So on one of my trawls across the internet I came across ‘The Christmas Tag’ on Jen’s Blog – BeautyJunkieLondon. What is ‘The Christmas Tag’? It’s a list of Christmas themed questions. Now while it’s not even December yet its hard to escape the festive madness that is sweeping the nation, so below are my answers to the tag.
So here we go….
1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
So I have three. One – The Snowman – this takes me back to my childhood and reminds me of playing in the snow with my family. Two – Home Alone – the ultimate kids adventure (apart from The Goonies). Who didn’t wish they were Mccaulay Culkin left behind by their parents to fight the evil robbers! Finally the last one is a bit more soppy – The Holiday. Im not a fan of Jude Law, but I love the romance in the film and not forgetting the cute little cottage covered in snow. Just how Christmas should be.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning thats the way it rolls at Jonas HQ. Me and Mr J usually open our smaller stocking gifts first and leave the best until last.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
My best friend (sorry Jess) is going to hate me saying this as every Christmas Eve it was tradition that we would spend it together, go to her grandmothers for dinner and then drink our body weight in alcohol, however my first Jonas Christmas in the countryside, surrounded by hills covered in snow allowed me to embrace my inner child and go sledging. I can only describe as the best country roller coaster ride.
4. Favourite festive food?
Mince Pies – I just cant get enough of them!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
Family/ loved ones. We all love gifts but honestly as much as I am the ultimate material girl, its the memories that we create or share with our family that are the most important.
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Anything with Cinnamon or a Body Shop Gingerbread /Spiced Apple scent.
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Yes – it was getting really drunk! But now it’s being at Jonas HQ and decorating the Christmas tree as a family.
8. What tops your tree?
Two kissing Robins. Im not much of a fairy girl (really sorry Mr Walt Disney), so a Robin each for me and Mr J.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
uhm honestly I cant remember!
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Everything! Cheese, Mulled wine, Mince Pies, Christmas songs ( I have been singing Mariah Carey since October much to Mr J’s dismay), Christmas Jumpers, Presents and of course time with the family!!!
